How we think about safety
Adults only, no adult content, clear reporting and real people reviewing it. Here's the reasoning.
A creator platform is only as good as the trust people place in it. That trust is built through boring, consistent decisions — not slogans.
Principles
- Adults only. Everyone confirms they're 18 or over.
- No sexually explicit content. It's a bright line, so it's easy to enforce and easy to explain.
- Reporting is built into every post, comment and profile.
- A person reviews reports. Reports about illegal content and child safety come first.
- Decisions can be appealed, and we explain them.
Designed with UK law in mind
As a service where users share content with each other, FanSee falls under the UK's Online Safety framework. We're building around the core duties: understand the risks, keep illegal content off the service, give users simple ways to report and complain, and be clear in our terms. We'll publish how we're doing as the platform grows.
What's next
As we add media uploads, we'll add automated checks for known illegal material and publish a transparency report. If you spot something we should do better, tell us at safety@fansee-app.com.
